hOmelabs 14000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner (new CEC 10000 BTU)

Comes in SO handy for the few hot spells a year we have. But NOW, with FIRE SMOKE I NEED a CLEAN FILTER.. However, NO help in UserManual as to HOW to open Filter door(s) (Aren't there TWO filters?). I got an email telling me how to Clean the filter, but no help yet how to GET TO THE FILTER.

Wonderful customer service. I had an issue with the flap/vent malfunctioning. After a couple of emails back and forth discussing the issue and providing proof of what was wrong, the team at homelabs replaced the entire machine with no extra cost required and I didn't have to go through the hassle of boxing up and returning the old machine to them. I bought a Honeywell unit last year for the same price; it has never worked well. I think it was damaged during shipping but it is basically taking up space in an extra room. I bought a Koldfront (sp) unit last year as well. It works but it is LOUD. I mean, it sounds like an airplane landing. It is so loud, I finally had to get another one because I couldn't deal with it anymore -- I read the reviews and settled on this one. I'm THRILLED. Cooled a large space down quickly. SUPER quiet. Nice clips on the hoses to hold it in the bracket and on the back of the machine. This unit would be fine for a bedroom, anywhere. I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. I have an old one (different brand) that's worked great for years, I had no clue it would be so hard to find another decent unit --- I wish I'd gotten this one to begin with.

We're both very hot sleepers, and we've always had a 12,000 BTU window unit running at night to keep the bedroom cold without having to waste energy by over-cooling the rest of the house. We wanted something that didn't stick out like the window unit, but I was concerned about all of the reviews of other portable units that stated that they didn't cool as well as the window units. This one does. It easily cools the room down to 63 within an hour or so, and it's generally 62 degrees when we wake up (the lowest temperature setting for this unit). I'm very impressed by the ease of use, the cooling prowess, and the features of this unit. While we both like fans/white noise while sleeping, I will say that this unit is very quiet, which I realize is pretty important for some people. Five stars all around! I'll update this review as/if needed.

Just got this AC unit and I love it. Ordered it from Amazon last week for a price of 469.99. I live in NYC where we get some excessively humid summers. I've been using mine as a dehumidifier, and it runs perfectly. It cools the room while removing all the excess moisture. No more feeling sticky during the summer months. This unit was very easy to set up! The only thing that needs to be set up is the exhaust hose to the window and unit. Everything else is set up. So far, I am 100% pleased with this purchase and I would recommend this AC unit to anyone.

This device does a fantastic job maintaining temperatures in small to medium sized spaces. I was amazed by the incredibly cold air produced even before connecting to external ventilation. It’s cooling capacity outshines comparable space rated units I have used from other vendors.

This is strong enough to cool my garage when working in it omg he middle of May in Texas! Very impressed!

So here's my story. I live in a condo that I bought about 4 years ago and I've had the AC unit serviced annually since moving in without any issues. Then last year, in the middle of a 115 degree heat wave, it died. I mean completely dead dead - had 2 different hvac companies come out and declare it DOA, and one quoted me a replacement cost of $12k. That was out of the question, so I turned to these portable AC units. The first one I bought last year was by a more well known brand, and has been working great. This year I decided to get second one for my other bedroom and came across this hOmeLabs one on Amazon. hOmeWho? hOmeLabs - i realize they're not a well known name (yet), but I've bought a couple smaller appliance products from them including an induction cooktop and dehumidifier, so I trust the brand. What sold me on this model was how unique and stylistic it was, and so far I'm happy with my choice. Installation was a breeze and if you've owned portable AC units before, it installs just like any other. It immediately starts blowing cold air when it's on and fills the room in a short amount of time. The remote is intuitive and easy to use. Rest assured this is a great, BEAUTIFUL choice if you're looking for one of these units before it gets too hot this year. If you're reluctant, just remember that the company offers a limited 2 year warranty!

The portable air conditioning has worked well for us so far. We just started using it few days ago since the weather just got warmer and we are happy with it. It is easy to use and comes with a remote so I can easily control is from any room I am in. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with this air conditioner

At 14,000 BTU this Lil Monster puts out some serious cold air !! I have it in a bigger square footage room than specified and still Cold as Ice on a hot Vegas Summer day..... what made me Purchase this one was that It Had A Dehumidifier built right in so my living are is not Feel moist just cool...very very easy to setup...remote and onboarding functions simple to navigate....easy to vent right out the window all necessary equipment included... this AC is very well made and Looking to get many years of Use !!

For the size and price, this is an excellent choice for cooling a mid-size area. The air conditioner works great and cool for my living room. We purchased the LG portable air conditioner it's same 14,000 BTU but the price not cheap like this one. They are working good the same. Happy with new air conditioner, great price and great value.

My old AC was dying and I was just telling a friend that I was going to need a new AC unit for this summer when this one appeared. I love that it is portable and that I can move it from room to room as needed. My apartment is big enough for two ACs but it's also too big for just one to cover it all. This was the perfect solution for me. Well done, hOmeLabs!

Got this since my place didn't have central AC. It's much less loud than traditional window AC I've had in the past ALso comes with a warranty which is great.

This is much quiter than my previous one. I love the fact that I will be able to wash the filter, that was not something I could do on my other one either. The wheels are a great addition and I love that I can use it as a dehumidifier if needed. The remote control is an added bonus. To most it would not matter but I like that it looks nice in my room. It's not too big and bulky like I have seen in other people's homes. I hope to get another one in the near future!

I needed a portable a/c for my bedroom & other rooms in my house. I like the how easy it is that I can move it from room to room with no problem. It comes with a filter that's easy to clean. A nice remote so I don't have to get up off my bed. As far as performance it's great keeps my bedroom nice & cold, too cold sometimes. In humid conditions it does have a dehumidifier mode.

I don’t have AC in my apartment, during the summer it can get pretty hot, I purchased this item to cool down my room. So far it works perfectly, cooled down my room pretty quickly and best of it’s not noisy, which was a big concern of mine. It was extremely easy to set up (took maybe 10minutes) and looks sleek. I am so far very happy with my purchase!
