A drywall team working on finishing my basement broke one of the castor wheels off of my dehumidifier. I contacted hOmelabs via their extremely convenient website chat. They immediately sent me a replacement castor wheel free of charge. I would like to thank them for their great customer service. In addition, the dehumidifier has taken quite the beating for years in a very damp basement and now enduring the construction work including sawdust, drywall dust, etc. There have been times the filter and even coil are covered in various types of thick dust, I vacuum it off and it keeps on going. It is also very efficient, and in the summer I can empty two 70 pint containers per day. I would highly recommend this product and outstanding customer service from this company!

I bought this after my existing dehumidifier was getting so loud we couldn't take it any more. Based primarily on the Consumer Reports review we thought this was the best overall option. We are not disappointed after a few months. It is very quiet. You can hear it when it is full blast but no more than the fan. Very easy to ignore even when you are in the basement. Power usage seems to be improved over the old one. And it is keeping my basement dry. You can't ask for much more. Delivery time was faster than expected too.

From the moment I opened the well packed box, I knew the engineering would not let me down. Within 20 minutes my basement humidity dropped from 58 to 53 ! I'm leaving it on continuous for the evening. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. So far so good

I’ve been running the 35 pint model for a little over a week. It’s been working great, I only wish the bucket was a larger capacity!

Bought a 70 pint unit from Amazon on 6/5/19. The unit did everything it was suppose to for 1 year. It is installed in my basement. When I went to use the unit this year I noticed that the humidity readout was highly inaccurate and would not let the machine come on although it would run fine in constant run mode. I called the warranty number and after explaining the problem they send me a brand new dehumidifier for free. No hassles, no returning the old unit, just great quick service. This is how to run a company. When I need other products I know where to look first.

It is too early in my use of this dehumidifier to know how efficient it is but it seems to be effective at dehumidifying. It is relatively quiet too with one annoyance. The side panel vibrates when the compressor is on. This causes some noise which is immediately quieted by slight pressure on the panel. Since this is in my basement, the noise is not an issue for me. However, I would have liked to see a better quality build (perhaps reinforcement of that panel or thicker plastic). Overall, I am satisfied so far and would recommend this unit to others.

Unit works great. I use it in a finished section of our basement. It definitely removes moisture from the air. I didn't think my basement had much, but this machine is removing it. The water reservoir fills up every day. I really like the unit. The design, the simplicity, and the quality of the unit is very good. I find the noise of the fan to be very acceptable. I usually run it on low, although "high" is not that loud either in my opinion. I also saw real value in the two (2) year warranty. I registered it and got the extra six (6) months. This is my first Homelabs product, and I'm very pleased so far. I also get a good impression that the company will provide excellent customer service should I need it.

I've been running this unit for about a week now and it is rapidly reducing high humidity in my basement as evidenced by a significant reduction in moisture on our concrete block walls. Runs quiet. I have a hose attached from the unit into a drain and it is not leaking at all (some other reviews indicated it was a problem). Like the options on it as well. Highly recommended. Extremely fast shipping too!

This has been a lifesaver in an old house to keep the moisture under control. I empty a full container of water everyday. Easy to pull drawer out from bottom and empty water.

Scouring online and especially Amazon, I finally found a dehumidifier with really good reviews and met my needs according to the details that were listed. My main concern was a unit that would work well in my 800sq ft basement that temps range between 63-68 deg Fahrenheit.
After purchasing the unit, here are details of my experience so far:
Packaging/Shipping Specs: Upon arriving I noticed the unit was packed into an additional bigger sized carton with paper packaging material stuffed on top of the box inside. That concerned me but everything was in place and the carton was not damaged as it did have “fragile” labels on the outside of the container.
I unpacked the dehumidifier and it was a very nice looking unit and appeared to be good quality. Nothing was damaged and I sati it upright for about an hour so the compressor oil would drain back into the compressor to prevent damage.
Function:
I plugged in the unit and powered it up. When it first turned on I noticed that it sounded a little different than my previous 70pint/ Idylis unit I bought a Lowe’s 2.5 years ago..
It sounded louder at first but I noticed the fan was blowing on turbo mode. I then lowered the fan setting to the lowest setting and then it was similar to my previous unit. Although I do think the fan blower is very slightly noticeable louder than the other unit but it’s really hard to tell.
Final thoughts:
It started to bring the humidity down immediately and looks good in my basement m. I’m haply with my purchase. I do regret buying my other dehumidifier for almost $300, knowing this one cost half that and seems to be just as nice, just not quite the capacity. Being so new I have no idea of the build quality yet but I will try to update this review with anything I feels needs to be addressed to help other buyers.

This is my first review on Amazon because I have to discuss how much of an impact this thing has had.
About the product itself: the device itself is pretty simple and easy to use; any questions can easily be answered via the manual. Only a few buttons and functions--the humidity setting itself, a timer, a turbo mode, and the option between continuous vs. auto on/off. An LCD display shows the humidity now or your target humidity (when adjusting the settings). The bucket that collects the water pulls out like a drawer, and there's a nifty handle that makes it easy to carry. Dumps in a sink, bathtub, etc. with ease. Note: the drawer assembly when you put it back in could be a little less...wobbly, but as long as you're not trying to slam it in there like 2001 Shaquille O'Neal you'll be fine. Once it's filled up, it beeps like a microwave telling it's full, but it only does it once, which is a good thing in the event it fills up in the middle of the night.
I have no experience with dehumidifiers, so this may be just me, but this thing sucks water out of air like the thing at the dentist sucks saliva out of your mouth, especially in turbo mode. On turbo, I've seen 80% to about 60% in 30 minutes, which far exceeded my expectations. As for the noise level: yes, it makes noise, but I find it pretty quiet. I have a window AC unit, and even on turbo, the dehumidifier is not louder than the AC.
Now, for me personally: I live in Louisiana, in a small apartment with only a window AC unit and a fan. While I never have problems with temperature, window units do nothing about humidity, so even at a good temperature, my apartment was extremely muggy. As in "had to put my pillowcases in the dryer every night because they were damp" muggy.
Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger and got this. I have no experience with dehumidifiers and was not sure what to expect. What I got was something that has, no joke, significantly improved my quality of life. When I first plugged this bad boy in, the humidity reader read 82%. Within 30 minutes(!), it was down to 65% and I could breathe without filtering the air between my teeth. Now, I never sweat in my apt. I'm comfortable. Papers don't curl. Bedding isn't damp. I don't have to use air fresheners all the time. But maybe most of all, my sleep has improved SIGNIFICANTLY. I wake up feeling so much more rested and energetic that I'm in shock about it.
I was going to wait a while to post this review to see if the dehumidifier holds up, but honestly it's made so much of a difference in so little time that I had to sing its praises. My only regret (kind of) is that I didn't get the bigger size because the 30 pint fills up fast in my ~650 ft. apt. That's more a testament to just how well it does its job. The warranty is secured, so that's good, and if anything changes I'll update this. I know there's a sea of reviews on this thing, but if you're on the fence and live/work in a very humid, pull the trigger. It is AWESOME.

I bought this for my basement. It is nice looking, can be moved easily, and can be emptied easily. The only drawback is that the capacity is not all that large and so it may have to be emptied more frequently than you like. In summer I do have to empty it up to three times a day but in winter it can go the whole day without needing to be emptied. The unit shuts off when bucket is full. There is never an overflow or water on the floor issue which is really nice.

I got about 1 solid month of nonstop use prior to fall arriving and now it is on and off. Excellent performance. Coverage of the space is well within its rating for sq ft, Sound level is not bothersome as it sits behind our dining table in our RV. It seems to match our humidistat within about 3-4% for the interior of the rig vs its display. I had to set it at 50% vs 45 to get a solid 45-48% in the rig. With windows open on the cooler days it was pulling about a bucket out for the day keeping it around 50% in the rig so we really enjoyed being able to keep the windows open some for fresh air which means AC off so lower noice in the camper.
Size fits our space well, easy to wheel out and dump. The control setting for us was Continous = Off and 50% . What I did notice was that it was right for space size of the RV so I don't get a lot of hot air running out of it during its cycle. When it was warm coming off the compressor either the AC or outside air compensated. Highly recommend for 300 sq ft RV.

Ive only had it on for 4 hours, but it’s already filled up twice. I love it. Should have got a bigger one, it’s so effective. Should have got it months ago. Long Island summer? Pffft.
(Solo cup, in first picture, for size reference on the 30 pint.)

Excellent! At first, I thought I bought a size too small, I own the 1000 square feet version. The dehumidifier is located in the basement, which is about 700 square feet. However, that was the first few days of removing humidity, where I emptied it every 8 hours or so. After the humidity was lowered to the set 55%, it would only run sporadically and would take a week to fill.

This thing works like a champ (so far) and is relatively small. Took my two-room 500 sq. foot basement music studio/bedroom from 65% humidity down to 45% with no problems. It puts off very little heat, especially compared to other, larger dehumidifiers I've had in the past. I purchased 3 years of extra warranty for $13, which seems to be the only real potential issue reported - long term reliability (systemic across most appliances these days). As of now this one gets two thumbs up from me.
Edited to include a pic of the full water reservoir, ready to be poured down my sink. I'm glad I bought the smallest size, it does the job fine and is easier to empty in my half-bath.

Works great! Have it in a bedroom where the hot water tank leaked once. I can't seem to set it to any certain setting. It just keeps going until I turn it off. This isn't a big deal. It does the job fast and the bucket part has an easy handle to dump the water. It's loud as a fan. This doesn't bother me at all. I am happy with it.

We've been using this nice unit for about a week now and no real complaints. It does the job nicely. There could be some improvements as far as the timer settings go. I mean would be nice to have a time-of-day clock on the unit to help with the timer settings, that's all.
The operation sound level is acceptable. I wouldn't recommended placing it near TV, a little too loud for that.
On the upside, it makes a great white noise machine to sleep by.
The user manual could be better, esp. concerning the timer; and after contacting the company, they agreed that there is a misprint about
a non-existent drainage tube that might hang down once the collection bucket is removed.
Overall, I think you will be very happy with this machine, provided you use it in the appropriate size room/area.
A side note: I think the air intake should be on the front of the unit, not the back. Don't you?

I just moved into a new apartment with carpet and i instantly had breathing issues. This unit in combination with a strong air purifier helped stopped the frequency of attacks and symptoms. I currently use this one in my bedroom

This product has been great! I've had issues with keepsakes and other things getting ruined from the humidity in my basement and bought this to help keep the moisture down. So far so good! Not as quiet as I expected but it's usually down in the basement so I don't hear it anyways

I purchased this to use in my basement, in my cold storage room beneath my front steps. This room is like an old fruit room, and smelled pretty damp....I had never used a dehumidifier in my house before, and was shocked at how quickly it filled up the bucket. Within a few days I noticed that damp smell was gone from my creepy basement storage room. As for electric costs, I haven't noticed an increase on my bill. Overall I'm pleased with the quality of this humidifier, and would recommend this to others.

We have had a lot of rain in our area making for wet basements. This has been a godsend in the neighborhood. Units have been hard to come by so I was excited when this became available. I purchased it and neighbors have been borrowing it. There are a lot of setting options. You can put the % of humidity you desire. There is also a timer. The unit runs quietly. Works great

This little guy works great! We have a house that is on the lake in so humidity can be a problem in the summertime. This one is noticeably quieter than other dehumidifiers we have had. I still need to test out the pump function. I also noticed that it blows pretty cool air out of the side which the other units do not do. I might need another one that's a little larger for another room
GuitarRebel
I bought this unit for my non-climate controlled garage and it works like a charm. I have it on a sturdy table with a 3' garden hose attached to the back and draining into a 10 gallon bucket. Now I can rest easily about storing my musical equipment and tools out there in preset 40 degree humidity.
Here in NC there is notorious humidity in the summer. Before I bought this unit, I could only stay out in the garage for a few minutes without sweating profusely in 100+ degree heat and humidity. With the unit running, the temperature isn't an issue because the air is much dryer. I change out the bucket about once a week and it's around half full.
This unit is so good for me because I just set it and forget it. When the humidity level is reached, it automatically shuts off and restarts when needed.
Easily 5 stars.
